The Nation

States of a Nation

Every Nation is a world with its own life cycle: from the announcement to the end. Its state defines what you see, who can get in and what you can do.

The states

A Nation moves through these states. The first two are public (anyone sees them in the lobby); the rest are private: they show only to people who play or played there.

StateWho sees it…What it means
Pre-registrationEveryoneThe map is ready and the opening is scheduled. You can lock in your spot (pre-register) until the slots fill up, with a countdown to launch.
OpenEveryoneThe Nation is live and taking new players: you sign up and start with one district and a rookie shield.
Closed (full)Only its playersThe slots filled up. The game goes on, but nobody new gets in. It doesn't show in the public lobby and can't be seen from outside: it's for its players only.
PausedOnly its playersStaff froze the Nation temporarily (maintenance or a situation under review). The world is frozen (read-only) until it resumes.
FinishedOnly those who played itThe season is over: a coalition won by Domination, or time ran out with no winner. The world goes static and the results screen shows up (winner, coalition and final standings).
VoidedOnly those who played itStaff shut the Nation down (it never got going, or something went wrong). It ends with no winner; it shows as a voided season.
ArchivedOnly those who played itA Nation that already ended (finished or voided), tucked away so it doesn't clutter the active lists. You can still see its results.

Closed: the slot doesn't free up

When the player count hits the Nation's cap, it flips to Closed automatically. Unlike districts, the slot doesn't free up: whoever quits keeps their seat (even at zero). So a full Nation never reopens on its own, not even if someone deletes their account. Staff can adjust the cap anytime without breaking a thing: raise it and it takes people again; lower it and nobody gets kicked.

Finished: the results screen

When a Nation ends, the world goes static: you can't keep playing (no moving troops, no building, no voting on laws). If you took part, you see the results: which coalition won, how players and coalitions ranked, and where you finished. Anyone who didn't play that Nation never sees it. The usual way to win is by Domination; if time runs out with no dominator, it still ends, just without crowning anyone.

Inactivity and starting over

If you go 10 days without activity (the value can vary per Nation), your districts revert to neutral and open up for everyone else. You don't lose your place in the Nation: when you come back, we let you know you went inactive and that your district turned neutral, and you can start from scratch by claiming a fresh district, without taking up an extra slot. Premium shields you from inactivity neutralization (vacation mode).

Wiped out: starting over

Different from inactivity: if a rival conquers your last district, you're left with nothing in that Nation. It's not game over. If there's still room, you can respawn in the same Nation keeping EVERYTHING (inventory, Pauta and Premium). If the Nation has no room to respawn, you can move to another Nation and take everything with you (inventory + Pauta + Premium): your new character is created there with your stuff and a reduced rookie shield. What does NOT carry over: your coalition, your titles and district-bound effects; your Press Flack is rebuilt. To prevent abuse, the move only happens when you've been wiped out, with a cooldown between moves.
